Resume

Originally a Microsoft Word document, my resume was uploaded, converted, and published using Google Docs.

During this activity, I learned how to search through existing templates within Google Docs and how to upload, convert, and publish these documents.

The ISTE NETS T Standard that best fits this activity would be (3a) "Educational Administrators promote an environment of professional learning and innovation that empowers educators to enhance student learning through the infusion of contemporary technologies and digital resources. Educational Administrators allocate time, resources, and access to ensure ongoing professional growth in technology fluency and integration." Learning how to convert files into broadly compatible formats and publishing those files is definitely a strong skill that when combined with activities that use professional documentations, such as resumes, can improve the students professional abilities. This activity relates to the ISTE NETS T Standard 3a: 3. Model Digital Age Work and Learning Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society. a. Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations This goal was accomplished by integrating the resume with new digital tools to make the resume more useful and electronically available.
